Lauren Santucci is a documentary cinematographer and director living in Austin, Texas.

Through authentic and intimate cinema veritè, her work explores the connection between individual stories and wider contemporary social issues such as maternal health and gun violence.

Films she has worked on have been acquired by FRONTLINE PBS and Al Jazeera and screened at festivals like Sundance, SXSW, Telluride, and DOC NYC. 

Her current documentary in production, Teddy, was awarded a short film grant from the Austin Film Society and will be released in 2025.

With a background in visual journalism, her work has been published by NPR, The Guardian, BBC, The Texas Tribune, and Education Week.
